Complex Manager

About us:

TopKids Virginia Ave is a unique culturally diverse centre located in Newton, central Auckland.

We offer education and care for up to 136 children aged 3 months to 5 years and through to their transition to school.  The Complex is made up of 5 separate age appropriate rooms each with a Head Teacher overseeing the programme. The centre provides a multicultural environment for the children and families and has a team of qualified teachers passionate about children’s learning.

About the role:

As Complex Manager you would be the heart of our centre where no two days would be the same. Overseeing the day to day operations, facility management and maintenance, centre enrollments and budget management will all be part of your day.  You will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring your team, building close relationships with whanau, driving the delivery of quality education and care, and ensuring compliance standards are exceeded.

About you:

As a dynamic Complex Manager you will need to have a strong business mindset with a sound track record in building strong, positive relationships with staff, whānau relationships and relevant stakeholders as we have strong links within the local community. You will need to have proven experience in financial/budget management, be able to multi-task and be outcome and results focused. Previous management or supervisory experience is essential along with knowledge of the operational requirements within an ECE environment.  A deep understanding of MOE funding, and APT is also preferred.  Our preference is someone who is fully registered to lead the curriculum aspects within the centre, however we would consider other leaders who have worked in the ECE environment.

What we offer you:

Do you have a continual drive for excellence?  Would you like to be supported with your own professional development and continual growth?  As a BestStart Complex Manager you will be provided with great support in both the business and curriculum aspects of your role.  We are focused on developing our leaders and have regional and national leadership conferences, leadership development programs and plenty of future career progression opportunities. Generous subsidised childcare, healthcare insurance and a competitive salary is all part of the package.  A car park is also provided.
