Centre Manager - New Lynn

First Steps New Lynn is a big and roomy centre in the heart of New Lynn. It has a great outdoor space and offers both children and staff the opportunity to learn and grow. We offer education and care for up to 75 children aged 3 months to 5 years and through to their transition to school.

About the role:

As Centre Manager you would be responsible for overseeing teaching practice and curriculum together with a head teacher/assistant manager. You would also be responsible for the day to day operations, centre enrolments and budget management with the support of a centre administrator. The successful candidate would be responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of 12, building close relationships with whānau/parents and local community, driving the delivery of quality education and care and ensuring compliance standards are achieved.

About you:

In order to be successful, you will need experience in leading a centre or team, an ECE teaching qualification, full NZ Teachers registration and knowledge of current ECE practices and ministry regulations. We are looking for that special someone who is able to develop strong, positive relationships with all children and whānau/parents and who has the proven ability to lead and motivate a team to excellence.
