Head Teacher- TopKids New Lynn

Topkids New Lynn is a purpose built beautiful Centre that operates in the heart of New Lynn. The team of teachers reflects the multi-cultural diversity of the children and families at our Centre. As a leader, you are expected to role model teaching practice to bring out the best learning outcomes of children. You will be leading self-review and programme planning as well as demonstrating the ability to provide high standard quality documentation. This role is open to those who are experienced ECE Teachers (ie. minimum 5 years teaching experience in ECE) wanting to take the next step up in their career, or experienced Head Teachers who are looking for a new exciting challenge. ECE qualification and Full Registration with an outstanding teaching proficiency is a pre-requisite to the role. The ideal Head Teacher for this role will demonstrate the following skills and abilities in their management and teaching practice:

• Sound track record in customer service; building strong relationships with staff, clients and relevant stakeholders

• Create a warm and welcoming environment for children and parents/whanau

• Demonstrate an attention to detail and be outcome and results focused

• Experience in leading a team in programme planning, observation and assessment, and self-review

• Strong interpersonal skills and confident communicator

• Proven organisational and time management skills

• Sound computer and keyboard skills

• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure if required

• Self-motivated, innovative, reflective and prepared to think beyond the boundaries

• Strong overall leadership ability and proven experience in leading teams to achieve set outcomes Must have good English skills; written, spoken and reading.
